Frequently Asked Questions
When is soccer registration?
Soccer registration for Fall Season is during the months of April and
May. Late registration occurs during June with an additional $10 late
fee. Registration for Spring Season is during the month of February,
and closes the last day of February. If you register for Fall season,
you are automatically registered for Spring and remain on the same team.
How do I register my child?
To register a player, you must register online at www.ncwsoccer.com.
Registration fee and proof of birth are also required. If you do not
have access to the internet, registration forms can be found at the
Brewster, Okanogan or Omak library.
What is acceptable proof of birth?
Washington State Youth Soccer Association only accepts certain proofs
of birth. If the club does not already have a copy of one of the following
on file, you must submit it with your registration form:
• official legal birth certificate (hospital birth certificates
are not acceptable)
• passports
• State or Federal ID cards
• Driver’s license or learner’s permit
• Uniformed Services identification and Privilege Card
• Alien registration card issued by the US government
• Board of health record (hospital birth certificates are not
acceptable)
• Certificate issued by the Immigration and Naturalization Service
attesting to age
• Certificate from an appropriate government agency for a person
born abroad as proof of birth date.
How much does it cost?
The registration fee is $35 for recreational teams. If you register
for the Fall season, this fee covers both Fall and Spring seasons. If
you register in the Spring, this fee covers only the Spring season.
The fee is $40 for District teams.
When does the season begin?
In general, the Fall season begins in September and lasts until the
end of October. The Spring season begins in April and lasts until the
end of May.
What team will my child be on?
Once the Club has closed registration, all the players will be divided
into teams, depending on age. The Club attempts to equalize teams by
skill level. The team your child will be on will depend on the age of
your child and the sponsors available. Players change teams each year
in the Fall. But, players remain on the same team from Fall to Spring
season.
Who is my child’s coach?
Coaches are volunteers. The Club relies on those willing to coach. Once
registration ends, the Club tries to match parents willing to coach
with teams and sponsors. The coach assigned to your child’s team
will call players to introduce himself or herself and let them know
about the practice schedule. If you are willing to coach, please note
this on your child’s registration form.
When are games and practices?
Practices are usually one to two times per week with the days and times
dependent on the coach’s schedule. Games vary through the season,
but are usually one to two times per week. For the Under 6 age group,
games usually follow practices. In the past, the Under 6 group met on
Wednesdays and Fridays. This is subject to change, based on the availability
of coaches and their schedules. For the Under 8 and Under 10 age groups,
games are usually scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and/or Saturdays.
For the Under 12 and Under 15 age groups, games are usually scheduled
for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and/or Saturdays. For the Under19 age
group, games are usually scheduled for Sundays.
What is District 6 soccer?
District 6 soccer is more competitive soccer. It is designed for those
players willing to travel to Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho and
willing to make a bigger commitment to soccer. The registration fee
is $40. The Club currently has a Boy’s Under 14 age team and a
Girl’s Under 13 age team.
